We took a private sunset cruise up the Mekong and visited a village with LAo and Hmong living together.  This is the monk in charge of the local temple and his temple.

He wanted to see the flower I was photographing.  Here is the flower as he saw it.

and then he had his picture taken too!  He has an amazing home-made paper airplane with quite a tail!

Nanoi, daughter of Ghit in Luang Prabang

On the Nam Khan River, the river where our My Dream Boutique Resort and Spa is located, there is a bamboo bridge that connects to the main part of town.  The bridge is owned by and replaced regularly when the floods come, by Ghit and her family.  Ghit collects tolls for river crossing on the family's bridge.  This is Nanoi, the daughter of Ghit.  She has her own business.  Rowan got two bracelets from her. 

Quite a young businesswoman.  We are all happy!
